Playing the game
We have a modified version of Cornhole for the beginners. You have a single board plus two set of four corn bags.
- You set your throwing line distance.
- Each player takes turns to throw their colour bag to land the corn bag into the hole
- After all bags are thrown, scores are calculated to determine if that round was a draw or there was a winner.
Scoring (regulation game)
Each bag which:
- falls into the hole is 3 points
- laying on the board is 1 point
- on the floor is zero points.
Points are scored after completion of al throws. Regularly, a bag can just miss the hole buy be pushed into the hole with another bag, this is now worth 3 points, not 1 point.
The set ends after all corn bags are thrown, players calculate their own score, if tied then no one scores. If player one scored seven points and player two scored 5 points, then player one will add two points to their scoreboard (subtraction system). The first person to 21 points (or over) is the winner.
Modified / variation scoring.
In your group, determine how you prefer to score and determine who wins a round.
- You can ignore the regulation scoring method add and combine your total scores each round until you achieve a set target figure.
- Can play best of seven sets (or other value)
- First to win a determined number of sets
Always be mindful when your sessions ends when determining a challenge, You certainly can extend your time of boards are available.
Championship / league
Once you acquire the skills of the game during modified version, request to have the board/s set up for championship standard. Where you stand/throw is 8.23 metres from the front of the board. Scoring is based on the regulation game.
